Show Notes:
This was the second date of Eric Clapton’s 2024 Tour and his first visit to Liverpool since 2009. Perhaps in a nod to the city, Eric played a bit of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” as an introduction to “Tears in Heaven.” (Merseybeat band Gerry & The Pacemakers had a Number One with the song in 1963 and since that time, it’s been the anthem of Liverpool F.C.)
The encore was the blues standard “That’s Alright” by Jimmy Rogers in celebration of what would have been his 100th birthday this year.
