A miraculous co-star tour “TOGETHER & APART” where two legends shared the stage. The legendary original recording that completely recorded the British version will be reprinted and released with renewed artwork.
Engraved on this work are all the stages that took place over the two days. “February 13th/14th, 2010: O2 Arena Performance”. It is a superb audience recording that vacuum-packed the whole story. The first couple concert was realized in Japan in 2009. Perhaps inspired by its success, an overseas version is planned for the following year, 2010. It has been implemented in a total of four countries. It’s also a good opportunity, so let’s organize the whole picture.

●2009
February 21st + 22nd: Saitama Super Arena Performance
February 22: Saitama performance
●2010
February 13th: London performance ←★This work DISC 1-3★
February 14th: London performance ←★This work DISC 4-6★
February 18th + 19th: New York performance
February 21: Toronto performance
February 22: Montreal performance

“4 countries x 2 performances = 8 performances in total”. Both Clapton and Beck had individual solo performances, but these eight days were co-stars. This work is a complete recording of the two performances in the UK. In addition, “TOGETHER & APART” consists of three parts: Beck / Clapton’s solo stage and co-starring stage. In this work, it is a 6-disc set in which each stage is recorded on one disc. It’s hard to imagine with just words, so let’s organize it easily.

Day 1/Day 2
DISC 1/DISC 4: Jeff Beck
DISC 2/DISC 5: Eric Clapton
DISC 3/DISC 6: Co-star stage

“Well, not only is this work big in size, but the quality is top-notch.” This work was produced by a person who has produced many superb recordings of British performances, and is a world-famous master who is especially familiar to Clapton collectors. This work is a digitized product directly from the original master. In fact, the sound is overwhelming. The core is powerful and full of direct feeling, and there is no hollow feeling in the hall sound. The tone has a sense of audience, but the fine details and ease of listening are on par with a sound board. It is also a carefully polished FM broadcast class.
What’s more, the site of this work is the “O2 Arena”. It is one of the largest indoor venues in London, and in fact it is a venue that is not ideal for audience recording. It is not uncommon for an ordinary recording artist to have a thin core or be blocked by a thick sound. On the other hand, it is also famous as a venue that produces outrageous masterpieces in the hands of master-class tapers. The taper arm makes a big difference between good and bad (it’s like the Saitama Super Arena in Japan). And the sound of this work is a sample of the latter. The huge venue is incredibly on and detailed, and it feels so close that you think, “Maybe it’s a marquee club recording?”
With such a master sound, two miraculous performances where legends line up side by side. Many of you may remember the previous year’s performance in Japan, so let’s compare and organize them here.

* Note: “★” marks are songs that were not performed in the joint performance of the Japanese version.

… and it looks like this. Clapton only added minor changes while following the performance in Japan, but Beck changed boldly. It was a content that strongly reflected the “EMOTION & COMMOTION Tour” at that time. Although the co-star stage edition (DISC 3 / DISC 6), which is the biggest listening point, has not changed in two days, three songs have been replaced with the Japanese performance. “Hi Ho Silver Lining”, in which Beck takes vocals, will also be shown in the large lass.
“TOGETHER & APART” feels like yesterday. In fact, 13 years have passed since the scene of this work. On the other hand, Clapton is about to realize the memorable 100th Nippon Budokan live, and Beck on the other hand has become a person who will never come to Japan again. This work is already a masterpiece of cultural heritage class, but when it comes to “now”, it is too heavy and sounds beautiful. A masterpiece that permanently preserves a miraculous night that will never happen again with the indescribable “beautiful sound of the scene”. Now here is a dignified reprint.

★ The best audience recording that completely recorded the miraculous coupling show “February 13th/14th, 2010: O2 Arena performance”. A branded product digitized from the world-famous original master, with a strong core and plenty of direct feeling. The fine details and ease of listening are on par with FM soundboards. It is a cultural heritage grade press 6CD that permanently preserves the full show of the three-part composition “Clapton Hen + Beck Hen + Co-star Hen” for two days.
